Below is a list of End of Year Items to consider before your child officially departs to start summer break. Canistota School District End of the Year Reminder
· Library Books
o Library book checkouts have ended for the year. Please return any remaining books as soon as possible. If books are not returned or damaged when returned, we will assess a fee. If you have questions, contact Mrs. Roshone at heidi.roshone@k12.sd.us.
· Lunch Account
o All lunch account balances must be paid in full before the last day of school. High school students will not be allowed to complete check-out if their lunch account has a negative balance. · Contact Information
o If your mailing address or phone number has changed, please notify the school. Accurate contact information is essential for report card distribution and SY25–26 mailings. Send updates to Lori Forsman at lori.forsman@k12.sd.us.
· Lost and Found Items
o If your child is missing items, please check the lost and found rack located inside Main Entrance A. Unclaimed items will be donated to a local charity after the last day of school.
· Band Fees
o All band students in grades 5–12 must have their band fee balance paid in full. Contact Mrs. Perry at nicole.perry@k12.sd.us with any questions.
· Locker Cleanout
o Students must clean out their academic and athletic lockers on the final day of school. Students participating in activities beyond the last day of school may keep items in their assigned extracurricular lockers until their season ends. Any items left in lockers after June 3, 2025, will be donated to a local charity.
· Computer Damages
o Mr. Blide will check in Chromebooks from middle and high school students. Any existing computer damage fees must be paid in full by the last day of school. If fees are assessed during check-out, they must be resolved by May 29, 2025. If you have question, please contact Mr. Blide at brandon.blide@k12.sd.us
· Medication Pick-up
o All medications stored at school must be picked up by a parent or guardian. Medications will not be sent home with students. Any medication not picked up by May 22, 2025, will be properly disposed of.
